Classes

I had to register for classes online at 8AM this morning. I had nightmares about not getting into classes and being locked out of the system. It was ridiculous.

I only have two weeks of school left and I just want it to be over. I have one more big assignment to do and then I can just focus on finals and getting out of here. Moving out of the dorm is going to be strange. I feel like I've accumulated so much crap here.

I have to get rid of $800 worth of meal points in three weeks. It's ridiculous.

Anxiety

I'm out of school in 3 weeks.

HOLY CRAP.

I have to finish a research paper and for some reason it is freaking me the hell out. I have plenty of articles/sources for it and I am interested in the subject but I cannot put it together. I'm so useless.

I'm moving out all my non-essentials this week. I'm hoping the sparseness will cause me to work.

Sometimes I wish I had been on more road trips. There is something absolutely perfect about the idea of a road trip. It's a completely personal and individual activity that you can do with other people.

Sometimes I wish I could leave everything and move into a tiny small town. There is something absolutely perfect about the idea of being a small-town hermit. I could never leave everyone behind.

I had a terrible, terrible dream this weekend and it was really upsetting. I hate not being able to talk to people about these things.

Going to bed early is a recipe for crazy

I read an article recently that said that if you are stopped from having REM cycles while you sleep (lack of sleep, crazy psychology professor poking you, whatever) you end up having a super long REM cycles when you're allowed to sleep normally. That is the only explanation I have for last night's dream. Here are the parts that I remember:

I was in St. Stephen's Academy's gym (ah, the ol' alma mater) and my family was there and some kids I went to high school and grade school were there and so was Ellen Page, and apparently some kids from Harry Potter. The gym is really crowed and people are milling around and I was talking with my sister and I see people CHUCKING other people around the gym. I turn to my sister and say, "This is such a weird event" and Laura says "Yeah, it really is. I'm next." So she gets up and throws some kid, like she's throwing a shotput or something, but different form. Suddenly I see Garrett Smith and I tell him "God, this is the most bizarre track meet ever." He just shrugs (that kid never speaks) and goes on with throwing kids. So it's my turn and I get up there and grab the closest kid and it turns out to be the chick who plays Ginny Weasley in Harry Potter, Bonnie something I think, and I just sort of throw her into the pit (shot put pit, not Pit of Despair or anything). After that I went over to talk to my mom, I think she was conducting guitar practice and Ellen Page is sitting on the floor and all I said was "I thought you played bass?" So I left, and went outside and I was talking to Danni Lacotta's mom and suddenly it's a different dream.
In this one I am some guy who is trying to convince a bear to attack a junk shop in post-apocalyptic Kansas City. The bear was all like "Look man, I don't even bother with you people anymore" and I /the guy just wanted some more chaos I guess.

Needless to say I woke up perplexed.

ETA: I took a nap this afternoon and I spent most of my dream trying to stop my mother from nuking Voldemort because he was holding a werewolf ambassador hostage. What the hell?

Mutha-Fucking Shower Etiquette

I despise public bathrooms. It's too the point of being almost ridiculous. Regardless, living away from home has caused the necessity for using public restrooms on a daily basis. All I ask from the 19-20 year olds I live with is to respect the FUCKING BATHROOMS. When you leave shit (here, I'm talking literally) just floating away like a goddamn submarine in the toilet, that is fucking gross and rude. Also, when I am taking a shower DO NOT fucking get in the stall next to me when there are plenty of empty ones, asshole. Grow up and be polite you asshats.

I gave my knitting speech today. I have no idea how I did despite the fact that he gave me a "grade". It's either an F or a 1=. I'll have to ask on Thursday. I was nervous so I was a little sassy. I get a cocky attitude when I'm nervous and have to speak in front of people. Oh well, a girl in my class said I did well, so that's good.

I started watching Battlestar Galactica. I feel...more nerdy somehow. I like it.

Jealous much?

I see pictures like these and instead of being disgusted or creeped out, I'm mostly jealous. This is not a glamorous lifestyle by any means, but I'm still amazed at how these people live. It's a pretty honest way to live. You don't have much it seems materially, but you're also not a slave to your iPhone or you're newer slimmer laptop with wifi and frappachino maker. I don't know, maybe it's my 12-year-old self trying to get out and runaway but a life lived by your own rules is really envy-inducing.

On that note, I got a new phone. It's pretty bitching.

Sticks and Stones

I was called "brutal" today. It was sort of awesome.

I feel like I've lost contact with people I used to really love to talk to. Distance is supposed to make the heart grow fonder or something, but I really miss having close friends that I see everyday.

That being said, I'm glad I've made friends here that can stand me.

Today I bought the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic. I love it, and the guy at the Clint's gave me a discount. It's pretty awesome to be me.

I'm very disjointed today. Nothing is coming together and every thought seems random.
